SMA Foundation Congrats to 2020 Scholarship Recipients

2020–2021 Academic Year


Aubrey Bingheim

Aubrey was selected as the first recipient of a $2,500 SMA Foundation scholarship, as well as the special $1,000 award from the legacy of B. J. Andis. Aubrey will be attending the University of Texas at Arlington, pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing, spend a period as a travel-nurse, with a long-term goal of receiving her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRMA) license. She is the daughter of Cindy Bingheim, National Account Coordinator for Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics.


LaQueshia Marrilla

LaQueshia is the National Account Billing Manager for Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics and recipient of a $2,500 SMA Foundation scholarship. LaQueshia received her bachelor’s degree in August 2020 and is continuing her graduate studies in professional development and leadership at Ashford University in San Diego, CA. She takes justifiable pride that it took her 12 years to complete a two-year degree program while managing a 40-hour work week, being a mother to three high-schoolers, as well as her studies.


David Sanchez

David is the National Director of Operations for 3-Men Movers and recipient of a $2,500 SMA Foundation scholarship. Starting out in college to pursue a degree in engineering, David found that he wanted to build things for his own interest and not for other people and let college slide for a couple of years. He found his current job at 3-Men Movers and immediately related with the challenges that operating a business offers. David is working on a bachelor of arts degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce, with plans to pursue an MBA to further enhance his ability to work with small business owners on basic business strategy and finance.


Bethany Vargas

Bethany is the daughter of Danielle Vargas, a packer with Generations Senior Moving & Transitions Services and a recipient of a $2,500 SMA Foundation scholarship. Bethany is kicking off her college career by attending Northwest Vista College in San Antonio with a growing interest in biology, kinesiology and physical therapy. While the thought of spending seven plus years to obtain a degree in physical therapy is a bit intimidating, she is committed to completing her education, expanding her worldview and helping improve the lives of others.


Cameron Winn

Cameron is the grandson of Randy Berry with Central Transportation Systems and a recipient of $2,500 SMA Foundation scholarship. He currently attends Collin Community College studying electrical engineering. Cameron plans to attend Texas A&M University, College Station and pursue a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. His goal is to use his knowledge to make machines and equipment more efficient with the use of mathematics and physics.
